This trimester, we're thrilled to shine a spotlight on Raemir, an exceptional intern who has truly made his mark at the Western PA School for Blind Children. Raemir's dedication and impressive work ethic have not only garnered high praise from staff across the building but have also set a new benchmark for future interns.
From the moment he arrived, Raemir distinguished himself through his remarkable character and commitment. Adults around the school consistently complimented his work ethic and his sweet, respectful personality – a testament to his professionalism as one of the first interns at this site.
His mentor, Dennis, expressed immense appreciation for Raemir, noting that he has exceeded all expectations. "Raemir has set a very high standard for the rest of the interns placed with me," Dennis shared. Raemir's consistent punctuality, perfect attendance, adherence to instructions, and respectful demeanor have made him "a joy to work with." These qualities, Dennis believes, will undoubtedly set Raemir apart in his future endeavors, highlighting his strong foundation in crucial soft skills.
Raemir himself feels he gained an invaluable experience, learning a great deal about landscaping, from digging out roots and proper plant watering to planting new flora. He's also noticed a significant improvement in his overall knowledge and problem-solving abilities. Perhaps most notably, Raemir has recognized his strength in connecting with people and building strong working relationships, showcasing his excellent interpersonal skills throughout this experience.
Looking ahead, Raemir has clear aspirations: he plans to attend trade school after graduating high school, a path that aligns perfectly with the practical skills and hands-on experience he's gaining through his internship. He is leaning toward attending Rosedale Technical College.
Raemir's performance has exceeded even our already high expectations. His outstanding execution of his internship responsibilities is truly commendable. We are incredibly proud of Raemir and his achievements.
