City High sent a group of fifteen 11th and 12th grade students and four teachers to Costa Rica for a service learning trip. They spent a week in Costa Rica, staying from March 23 to March 30.

Students spent their service learning time restoring and beautifying a schoolhouse, the schoolhouse restroom, and the teachers' house nearby.

They also got to experience all the beauty that Costa Rica had to offer by exploring, hiking, trying new foos, and meeting several community members. Among the sites they got to visit were the National University of Costa Rica, Jaco Vista Beach, and Quebrada Arroyo.
