Staff Name: Mr. Martin Schenck
Role/Title: Career Teacher
Favorite spot in Pittsburgh?
I don't like revealing my secret spots, but I will share anyway because I like all of you: My favorite spot is the little parklet across from Commonplace Coffee in the Mexican War Streets. It is the perfect place to drink coffee to start a nice sunny day.
How long have you worked at City High?
6 years!

I teach either Career 10 or Career 11 (depending on the year) for the first two periods, and then I teach Career 9 with Ms. Nichols for a few periods. In the middle of the day, I have done Marvel Movie Club for 4 years now.
What initially drew you to City High?
I was drawn to the Career teacher position. I had always been interested in helping young people explore their career options and this was the first time I had seen a full-time position that wasn't a guidance counselor.
What do you love most about working at City High?
I am a big looping fan. I think getting to know the students is the best part of City High. Second place is being Downtown.
