City Charter High School, a public 9-12 charter school, located in downtown Pittsburgh is looking to hire a full-time Educational Technology Specialist. The Educational Technology Specialist will assist the faculty in integrating appropriate and innovative technologies to support, enhance, and extend learning in grades 9-12. The Educational Technology Specialist will also design and teach two technology/business electives per trimester.

City Charter High School, a public 9-12 charter school, located in downtown Pittsburgh is looking to hire a full-time Reading Specialist.  This position involves planning and supporting literacy instruction for teachers and students in grades 9-12 in various areas including fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and differentiation for students at a myriad of ability levels. It requires independent work as well as working as part of various collaborative teams and content areas throughout the school. The secondary reading specialist analyzes and utilizes reading assessment data to determine instructional needs and skill deficits, and develops whole class and small group lessons and interventions based on discovered needs through the lens of Structured Literacy. The Reading Specialist also supports ongoing literacy initiatives as well as implementing new initiatives as appropriate, and continuously encourages enthusiasm in the power and importance of reading throughout the school.

City Charter High School is seeking an innovative and motivated Assistant Principal to work within an urban high school as a collaborative member of the administrative, grade level, and leadership teams.  

City Charter High School, a public 9-12 charter school, located in downtown Pittsburgh is looking to hire a full-time School Safety Officer. 

With the aim of assuring a safe and secure school, whereby all school community stakeholders feel and contribute to the safety of the school, the School Safety Officer plays a pivotal role in this goal. A highlight of responsibilities includes: Work collaboratively as a part of a School Safety team and with school administration. Patrol and secure school floors and be present at end of day dismissal outside. Monitor lunchroom during student lunch periods. Respond to emergencies. Maintain order during conflicts and Incidents. Work with students on peaceful resolution of conflicts.

Transition Manger
Lead and direct the student transition process from high school to postsecondary education or work.  Design and manage the protocol to systematically provide services that ensure every graduate will transition appropriately.  Help facilitate the development of individual student college and career plans in coordination with a student’s teacher advisor, learning support teacher (where relevant), career teacher, parent/guardian, and other relevant professionals. Provide necessary support to enhance opportunity for success the year following high school graduation. 

Qualifications
A college degree and 3 – 5 years working in secondary education, college/postsecondary admissions, or comparable field are required. A master’s degree in secondary education, counseling or pupil personnel services is preferred. A track record of developing or working effectively within a successful guidance program.
