Twenty years ago, City Charter High School was established by Rick Wertheimer & Mario Zinga, two passionate Pittsburgh educators willing to create a fresh and  innovative high school model dedicated to their students success. They founded a school whose focus went beyond just the first four years, committed to providing students the tools for them to succeed in college, work and life. A generation later, we can report that our model works.  We've helped change the educational landscape in Pittsburgh and have proven that all students can achieve amazing things when their potential is nurtured and they are held to high expectations.
