sports title

In my first-ever sports "blog" I am going to give you a little overview of what this page is going to be like and a little about myself.

I have played sports since I could walk. I will play any sport, anytime, anywhere, just because I love competing. I love talking about sports, and you can usually find me screaming at the TV because I don't like what the sportcasters' opinions are. That's why I joined, so I can spread my knowledge. I am going to use this page for fantasy advice, making weekly picks for games, voicing my opinions about sports news, and of course, statistics and standings of hometown teams.

If you have any need for fantasy advice,  if you just want to voice your opinion, or debate with what I have to say in my articles you can email me at:

Mark Eaton's Importance to the Penguins

The Penguins might just be one of the leagues most inconsistant hockey team. Every game is just a coin flip for these guys. Honestly, if it wasn't for the Crosby Line, (Crosby, Malkin, Recchi) I honestly don't know if we would score a whole lot of goals. Also, our defense has been pretty slugish as well. Sometimes they play like one of the best defenses in the league. Other times, they look like the team that won 22 games last year. Last night, against the Panthers (a 5-2 loss), they weren't even playing basic defense. I mean last time I checked, when one of the teams top players is standing in front of the net, you cover him? Am I right on that one? Also, who told these guys to pass in the middle of the ice in your own zone while being heavily covered? That is hockey 101! Now for those of you who don't know, Mark Eaton is one of the new Penguins this year. He was picked up as a free agent in the offseason from the Philadelphia Flyers. He was a key asset to the Penguins during their early success. He was a solid defenseman who was great on the penalty kill. The Penguins are 11-21 (9-9 with Eaton in the line-up), including OT losses, since Mark Eaton was injured on November 4th in San Jose by a late hit from Jonathan Cheechoo.
