Reports

City Charter High School collects comprehensive data about it's progress annually.

  • Each year, parents, students and staff complete surveys pertaining to school climate and achievement of goals.
  • Students, faculty and parents are interviewed by external evaluators.
  • Annual assessment data is collected via the state PSSA exams.
  • Year to year cohort data is collected from the Explore/PLAN/ACT exams.
  • Attendance and graduation rate data is collected.
  • Analysis of QPAs, students at risk, discipline, independent learning, faculty promotions, student and faculty transitory data are all collected.
  • Additional data is collected via interviews, focus groups and case studies as needed.

In addition to internal data collection, the school is audited by the Pittsburgh Public Schools, the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Middle States Association.

The data and audit reports are than compiled by the schools CEO and an outside team of evaluators.  The school contracts with Dr. Catherine Awsumb-Nelson, Dr. William Bickel and Dr. Jennifer Iriti to conduct an ongoing evaluation of the school. The evaluators provide both formative and summative evaluations to the school as needed.

All of this data is then incorporated into an Annual Report which is due to the Pennsylvania Department of Education on August 1 and to the Pittsburgh Public Schools on August 30.
